The West Bloomfield Police Foundation expresses its deepest condolences. Never should someone be taken away from us so young and without getting a chance to make memories with their child. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the beautiful family of Dotson,
As you all know, he was a great guy! Very silly and yet so positive! ALL OF THE TIME! I used to listen to how he talked to some of our most challenging detainees, with so much patience and respect. He presented this very silly sarcasm that we all needed, on a daily basis. He made me laugh, every time that he graced me with his presence. I remember his excitement and frustration with Covid and planning his wedding. He was always excited for everything, no matter what it was or the obstacle, at hand. His excitement, when he returned to work from leave (after the birth of his son) was overwhelmingly beautiful! He was so happy to be a new dad! He is now a beautiful guardian for all of us, in Heaven. Thank you for your kind heart, in such a dark space (the jail). Your absence, in body is such a huge loss to this world but we thank you for what you gave to all of us! Joy and love! God bless his entire family! For God is surely with all of you! Nick will continue to live on through everyone that his heart has touched. 🙏🏾♥️

Nick,
I have no words. You were taken from this world way too soon. You were always a gentlemen and made working behind those walls tolerable. Thank you for the memories. I hope you are truly resting in peace and are no longer suffering. I will pray for your wife, child and the rest of your family.
Sincerely,
-Anthony & Chelsea Paolella
